THE DR. SANDRA F. MATHER ARCHIVES
The Dr. Sandra F. Mather Archives houses Summit County’s most interesting collection of historical photographs, maps, manuscripts, newspapers, ephemera and more. Materials are associated with the local history of the people, businesses, government, civic organizations, industries, and the built and natural environments of Breckenridge and the greater Summit County, Colorado region.
The Archives is managed by the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance in partnership with the Summit Historical Society. In 2015, the organizations began moving their archival collections to a purpose-built room within the Breckenridge Grand Vacations Community Center and Summit County South Branch Library. In the new location, materials are organized, inventoried, described, recorded, and preserved in order to provide increased access to researchers, students, professionals, and the general public.
